When we clear your office or retail space, we take care to dispose of your unwanted items considerately, so you can reduce your carbon footprint. Here’s how we do it:
Step one: efficient planning
We plan very carefully. We’ll use the right number of trucks for the job, so there’s no wasted capacity. We’ll use smaller, fuel-efficient vehicles and calculate the optimum load to make sure we get more miles to the gallon.
Step two: reusing
Schools and charities can benefit from the items you no longer need. We can often find good homes for things such as chairs, tables, display units, mannequin dolls, clothes racks and food shelving.
Step two: reselling
We can sell store furniture or fittings that are in good condition. We can also sell some materials, such as steel and aluminium, that have an intrinsic value. You’ll benefit from the proceeds.
Step three: recycling
We sort and carefully dismantle the items into their constituent parts and recycle them. Steel, aluminium, paper, plastic and cardboard can be recycled and we can give you a cash rebate for many of these items.
Step four: the last resort
If there are any items or component parts, such as chipboard, that can’t be used in any other way, we’ll dispose of them appropriately after environmental groups have agreed there is no other method of disposal.
